Announcing Dirt Race Rules, Schedule & Procedures for July 12th !
July 12th - North Florida Speedway Dirt Rules Package
The following things will be allowed to be done to your trucks for this race. We will make adjustments for the second dirt race dependant on what we see from this one.

    1. You may remove 1/2 or full windshield and replace with wire mesh.
    2. You may add fine mesh screen over front air box screen, and brake ducts.
    3. You may add an additional transmission cooler for this race.
    4. You may run an air cleaner pull over screen cover.
    5. You may want to put a chip in as to not over rev on the dirt 6500 recommended chip. That is your option.
    6. You must add an air deflector, lexan (6" high x 18" long) in front of windshield 24" directly out in front of the driver. You may bend a 90 degree mount on bottom, or add a metal 90 degree mount. Must be pop riveted with a minimum of 1 per 2 inches. Or can use small nuts & bolts.
We will run the same tires, as we do now, we will allow the following grooving.
Front Tires - Every 2 inches at a max 20-25 degree angle across the tire
Rear tires - Every 2 inches straight across tire - no angle
Same depth as the regular grooves already in your tires.
The track has a groover, we will groove tires at 11 a.m. on race day ! You may purchase 2 new tires but remember you will be grooving them, so you may want to just pick 4 older tires for this race and save your others. Remember we will race there again Oct. 4th. If your buying 2 tires you will need to get from one of the tracks near you that sells our tires. Track will not have our tires at this race.
You may only run the standard type shocks & springs we run now. Keep it simple, keep costs down. If I see any special dirt style shocks or exotic springs etc. I will make you remove them.
    Schedule & Format:
You can arrive anytime Friday night, or early Saturday pits will be open for you. Pit gates will officially open arm band sales at 3 p.m. Saturday the 12th.
11 a.m. - We will start grooving tires for those who need it done. Be sure that if you did your own you have followed the grooving specs, or you may have to get more tires and redo yours. If your unsure I would wait and have them done at the track.
    3 p.m. - Pit gate officially opens
    3:30 p.m. - Tech & Registration
    6 p.m. - Drivers Meeting
Hot Laps follow the drivers meeting
You will only get 2 - 6-8 Lap sessions - Other divisions get 1 session 5-6 laps.
We will draw for heat races - We will break the truck count up into heats by draw. Only 4-5 in each heat, this will allow you track time and you can see how the track is going.
Line up - lowest draw number on pole first heat, next lowest on pole for second heat so on, alternating to create lineups. Heats will be 6 Laps in distance.
Winner of the first heat will draw for inversion - 5, 7 or 9 no more than half the field. Feature line up will be set up by Heat finishes - Winner of first heat 1, winner second heat 2nd so on, then we will do the inversion of the number drawn to finalize the starting lineup.
Feature will be 50 Laps or (60 Min) which ever comes first.
    Information for you......
Track is a big 3/8 mile.
Gearing is .......... most likely will be around 373 Chevy, 390 Ford with your second gear automatics.
Remember this is a new deal for everyone, but we have tried to make it simple, and not cost to much to do. We have talked to dirt folks and feel this is the best deal to begin with. Please conform to these rules and not make any issues. Thanks in advance !
I have $500 in sponsored bonus money From Helena I will be spreading into the purse, that will be announced at the the event.
Spread the works and lets have a great inaugural event and make some exciting history
