SIX CLASSES RUNNING FRIDAY NIGHT AT ORLANDO SPEEDWORLD
After a rainout last Friday night, Orlando SpeedWorld returns to action this
week with a good weather forecast in hand and plenty of action featuring six
divisions of racing.
The Modifieds return this week and will be joined by the Pro Trucks, Legend
Cars, Strictly Stocks, Four Cylinder Stocks and Bandoleros.
Alan Bruns and Bruce Bennett have split the two Modified class wins so far
this year and both are expected in the field along with a group of challengers
that include Chad Pierce, Matt Jarrett, Earl "Junior" Beckner, Matt Wheeler,
Zach Harris and more. The Pro Trucks have seen three winners in three races
so far this season as lady drivers Whitney Poole and Becca Monopoli have both
visited victory lane along with Michael Burns who won on opening night. Keith
Sinkula is coming off back-to-back wins in the Legend Cars while William
"Huggy Bear" Hindman has been the guy to be in the Strictly Stocks, already
taking down four feature race victories including last Saturday night's
special event where he also won the added Figure-Eight race.
Pit gates will open Friday afternoon at 4 pm with open practice slated from
5-7 pm. Grandstand gates open at 6 pm with racing at 8 pm. Adult admission is
just $12 with seniors (65+) and military with valid ID being admitted for only
$10. All kids aged 11 and under get in free.
A $750 to win Sportsman race has been added to the racing schedule for May
9th.
