  • Saturday’s Pro Truck Memorial Race at ShowTime Speedway

    This Saturday April 19th, Florida’s best Pro Truck drivers and team owners will take part in the first Southern Pro Am Truck Series’ Larry Moyer Memorial Pro Truck Race at ShowTime Speedway. This 81 lap race is to highlight and recognize the late Larry Moyer’s 1981 ARCA Championship and his impact on the local racing community.

    With support of ShowTime Speedway, Q Auto and Injury Attorneys and JRC Transportation, Drivers will compete for $2,000 to win and the winner will be fitted with a custom Jostens’ Championship Lug Nut Ring (shaped like a real lug nut and valued at $650). In addition, JRC Transportation will provide the winner with four VIP pit passes to the May 3rd ARCA 200 race at Talladega Speedway.

    To bring even more excitement to the race, Dave Pletcher has announced that he will donate his entire memorial race cash winnings to be evenly distributed to all the drivers. Pletcher, a legendary Late Model driver, will be will be driving the number 74 Moyer Motorsports Pro Truck. In the event that Pletcher is not able to finish the race, the Series will have a backup bonus plan in place.

    To pre-register and save $25 on the Series’ memorial race entry fee, please visit www.southernprotrucks.com on or before Friday April 18th. The race entry fee will be $125 the day of the event. Each driver will receive a 2014 Southern Pro Am Truck Series membership, a Series t-shirt, racing decals and a $50 Series Gift Certificate to use towards any 2014 Southern Pro Am Truck Series race entry fee. Tires and fuel will be available at the track and the track will be open for practice on Friday April 18th.

    All participating drivers will be eligible for the end of the year championship incentive of having the opportunity to drive and train in a Late Model at the Lee Faulk Driver and Development program in Hickory, NC.
