Congratulations to my friends Charlie and Travis Staats, the month's "co-winners" of the Inside Florida Racing drivers of the month award.
These guys are "old skool" racers: tenacious, un-relenting and super competitive. But as hard as they run, quess how I met Charlie? We had a wild, door-to-door battle for the win about 10 years ago. I don't think we touched once, but afterwards he came over and stuck out his hand, then we had a great time shooting the bull about our race.
As hard as they run the competition, I think they are the toughest on each other!
