Attending a UK auction house last week where two fabulous competition cars for sale an Ex Works MK2 Rally Ford Escort which sold for £146,000 and a beautiful Historic Modsports Turner Sports Car reg VUD 701 with full racing history back to 1961,when it was owned by John Miles.
This car got strong bids upto £118,000 but did not reach the reserve of £135,000 so was withdrawn.
Both of these glorious British race cars where ready to compete in and my heart melted with the thought of owning one.
