Prior to race season, we had a meeting at Bronson Speedway with drivers from all divisions. We were asked by an un-named driver to come up with a set of rules for the Street Stock Division at Bronson. We were asked to change weight and left side percentage, we were asked to change to a track tire and we were asked to only run a 4412 carb. We felt at that time this would be a good move to have our own set of rules. We were also told at that time that we would have several cars showing up for this division if we kept the rules that was asked. Now I know that we (I) will probably take a beating over this, but because we have not seen but one car so far in the street stock division with these rules, we have decided to change our rules to conform with Citrus with the thought that more drivers may race at both tracks. Here are the changes that I have made:
1. Weight Rule - Leaf Springs cars 3200 pounds 53% left side
Coil Spring cars 3050 pounds 58% lefts side
2. Carburetor - both the 4412 and 4 barrel quadrajet can be run
3. Tires - Steel belted radial tire 70 series maximum, no recaps LT or truck tires
These are the only rule changes that will be made for the rest of the season. These rules are now in line with the rules at Citrus.
