Jack loved the OWM races and was very close to some of the drivers. Many times during his illness he mentioned that when he died he wished the OWM drivers would have a memorial race for him at Punta Gorda. On Saturday November 26th. there will be some of the best OWM racers in Florida at Punta Gorda to honor JACK SMITH! Tony Carreno, Wayne "Rocketman" Jefferson, Troy "Batman" Robinson, Robbie Cooper, Patrick Williams ,Doug Moff, Steve Arnold, Sean Mc Laughlin, most likely LJ Grimm, Jeremy and John Gerstner (if they are in town), Dalton Nelson, Doug Miller Eric Rudd, and so many more!!!!!!!!!!!!! I havent been able to contact LB Skaggs, Wayne Morris, Ricky Smith or Allen yet but I think they will be there. Lots of people at work right now. ;-) this is going to be an awesome night for sure. Lets fill the stands and show Jacks wife and family how much we appreciate the man who "spread racing news" all over the state and more.
There will also be racing on Friday and Sunday.
