After a great run in the Blizzard Series this year, David ended up being 4th in the points behind Augie Grill, Grant Enfinger and Bubba Pollard. Roger's biggest weakness up there at the Derby has always been qualifying. He has raced well when he gets in.

Well, it is unlikely that more than one of the three in front of him wont qualify on time (Augie has the winners provisional as well) - which should mean David is certain to make the race regardless of his qualifying.
