I was able to track down Hans Nieborg who was a big part of KARNAC.com and let him know what is happening with Jack here is what he wrote to me:

Hello Rick;

Wow, I didn't see that coming. The best I can do is offer my best wishes
to him and if you see him before he passes, please let him know that Luann
& I (and Katrina too) want to thank him for the great experiences we had
while working with everybody at Karnac. If not for Jack and Karnac, we
wouldn't have been able to move from being a "Fan In The Stands", to visiting the
pits and the towers of bullrings all around the state. We met Speedo the
Clown (and Rosie the car with Gretchen inside), Cale Yarborough,
Barefoot Bob McCreadie and a whole host of individuals we wouldn't have had a
prayer of talking to otherwise. As for the radio show, we thank you-all for
letting us in on the ground floor of something that has developed over time into
a fine show now. Jack has had a profound effect on so many people and with
the close circle of friends that are now surrounding him, he should know
this. Jack is in our hearts and our minds.
