    I Just Saw--

A promo, featuring the Snowball Derby as "the greatest show" or somthing to that matter, or such. I'm sure it is, mostly.
But what about the old All American 400 in Nashville, or the Winchester(Dri-Pwr) 400 in Indiana, and numorous others, that are asphalt raceway worthy.
I have been to both numorous times, and they were really good races, and the history to boot, right along on top of it/them.

Greatest late model show ever, is somewhat subjective.

Humorously, I have been suckered into that little local Diner which stated "the worlds best cup of coffee". I went in, I drank a cup, and several others. it was OK i thought.
And the any/local pizzaria, which the sign outside states " the worlds best pizza". I fell for that one too; I went in and ordered up a pie; it was really good. yes it was.

The worlds best? It's all good. But........ the worlds best?

It sounds to me that the Snowball Derby is really a big fixture in the best of the best of asphalt stock-car racing, and I regret not being there for it.
The worlds best? we'll have to see; but for now, it is what it is.
Next year, i plan on the winchester400, and the snowball300, for sure. and maybe a big Salem race on the big 1/2 miler.

The All American 400 still exist, it's ran at Montgomery Motor Speedway and the Winchester 400 is still ran at Winchester,In like always and both are kick a$$ races. I think the Snowball gets more attention because of the people involved, meaning big names. All three are killer shows but I may know of one that will best all three. There's a huge race in April at North Wilkesboro Speedway that could top them all!!

I think this was the last year for the All-American 400 at Nashville, at least the Nashville that we knew and loved. The 400 hasn't been the same since NA$CAR's version of All-Pro ruined it in the mid- to late '90s. The last few years, it's been a "twin 200" format as far as I know, with CRA.

I remember when that race would draw the best from all over the country, without sanctioning, from California to North Carolina, from Florida to Wisconsin.
