I'm not the brightest bulb in the box, but I would think when the economic market is in bad shape and you hear people starting to talk about a recession that you would lower prices to try to fill the pits and the stands, not raise them. I heard this about 30 years ago standing in a sign in line for the pits in Ohio and a guy in line said "you know I never seen any football or baseball players paying to get in so they could play the game", I will never forget that. I know racing is different, but even a racer can only get it stuck to him so many times when he says I give up, just can't afford it anymore. Just another race car sitting in a yard with a for sale sign. Man I just don't understand, License, then pit pass, oh ya pad rental, pre-entry fee, $7.00 gallon fuel, got to buy 4 tires, sure hope nothing breaks or gets tore-up during the race. Some one in the know please educate me

I said it last year and looks to be proving my theory right,
Why go out and promote when the promoter(Lack of a better title) can just stick it to the racers at the back gate...
It is just sad to say that the owner/operators of these facilities:
DONT CARE ABOUT THE FANS, RACERS,or RACING for that matter. For them it's all about profits, so hit them where it hurts, sit home boycott the track for 3 weeks, if they want to stick it to the racers then hit back let them feel it.

Thanks Jane. I hope to come out the night of practice to at least get my license. Not sure when the car will be ready.

GRRR... this is horse S&$T. The price of EVERYTHING is going up except wages and pay-outs.
No wonder the stands are empty, people cant afford to leave their house.

But you get to drive while us fans just watch. Drivings a lot more fun than watching. Drivers have always paid at all short tracks since the beginning of racing haven't they? Guess that's one of the few things left that has not changed in this world we live.
