Last Tuesday Real Racin’ USA featured DeSoto Speedway’s owner John Sarppraicone, FASCAR GM Don Nerone and longtime promoter Howie Commander, in what was the most widely heard show from SHORT TRACK AMERICA to date. Several thousand race fans listened to the show, and the comments are still coming in. Archived show can be heard here!<\/a><\/p>\n

This week we follow up with what we hope is another entertaining mix of race news and fun with one of the more interesting personalities in Florida racing. Leroy Davidson, builder and current owner of Charlotte County Speedway in Punta Gorda, Florida. The speedway is still coming back from the devastation of Hurricane Charley and the future may be in doubt. We will address that issue, the current race program at CCS, and Leroy’s take on the current state of racing and what needs to be done to make it better.<\/p>\n

Also this week we talk with Terry Roberts, New Smyrna Speedway GM about the upcoming 41st Annual Florida Governors Cup 200, as we kick off a ten day advertising blitz for the event. Terry is also expected to talk about the upcoming 2nd Annual Florida Truck Championship later this month.
\n<\/p>\n

Young stars blossoming onto the Florida racing scene are also featured. Dakotah Stephens (Sprint Car Champ), David Wilson (Late Models & ProCup) and Patrick Staropoli (Trucks) will join us for some fun.<\/p>\n

We will have the very latest on the Hopkins Family Truckers 200 from Rick Bristol PLUS an insane surprise that we just can’t tell you about.<\/p>\n
