RYAN NEWMANThe second season of the Premier Racing Association’s Big Car Series will kick-off Saturday night April 7th with a return visit to South Georgia Motorsports Park. When the series raced there last October, NASCAR Nextel Cup regular Ryan Newman paid a visit and won the 100-lap event. Newman has confirmed that he will be in attendance on April 7th to defend his victory.

In addition, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series star Terry Cook has also told PRA officials that he will be there, making a rare appearance in an open wheel car. 2001 was the best year for Cook in the Truck Series. He finished 7th in points that year. He has a total of 6 wins. Cook will be driving for his father-in- law, famed car owner Bob East at South Georgia.
Chet Fillip to compete in PRA Big Car Series April 7th!2006 PRA Big Car Champion Chet Fillip will begin defense of his title. While he didn’t record a victory last year, his consistency led to the series first championship. Chet was fast qualifier at South Georgia Motorsports Park last October turning a lap on the half-mile oval of over 105 miles an hour. He finished 3rd in the race.

jamesbuescher.jpgThe line up for this week’s edition of Real Racin’ USA is nothing short of spectacular. The top stars from ARCA series first show ever from Florida’s finest short track, USA International Speedway, will be on hand to relive a very exciting race. Saturday night the local Florida guys gave it their all, came very close to winning but the big prize went to James Buescher of Plano, Texas.

Buescher, celebrating his seventeenth birthday today, out ran Bryan Clauson for the win. Clauson is a seventeen year old sprint car driver from Indiana who was running his very first stock car race. Both these young guns will join hosts Rick Anges, Bill Green and Jack Smith to talk about the awesome experience of their first ARCA race.

Johnny Jackson, most well know for his local racing at DeSoto Super Speedway, had quite a day, finishing 8th in the ARCA event on the 3/4 USA International Speedway. Jackson and family will join us live at the Snook River Grill along with along with Attorney James Carter. Carter is a Marketing Rep for both Jackson and Mario Gosselin.

Gosselin thrilled local fans with his run from the rear to the front, only to have the gremlins bite him yet again. Mario has won on the ARCA tour and looked like he might again on Saturday until a left front tire went down in the late stages. Mario will also be a guest on Tuesday night.
