“Inside Florida Racing” and Pandora Jewelers have teamed up in 2008 to recognize individual achievement in Florida stock car racing. Each month the “Inside Florida Racing” broadcast team of CeCe Brooks and Rob Elting, Carol Wicks & Friends consults with manyof the top media personalities and race promoters in Florida to determine the winner for that month.
In January the very first winner of the Pandora Jewelers Florida Driver of the Month was Jeff Choquette. Choquette had a fiercesome January on the short tracks of Florida, winning on dirt at New Hendry County Speedway and then back to back wins at USA International Speedway in Speedfest 2008.
Friday Night at Speedfest 2008 fans witnessed Jeff Choquette’s first victory at USA International Speedway, although he has competed there many times and had some in second all too often. On Sunday afternoon , Choquette was entirely dominant in a field that not only included the top super late model competitors but Kyle Busch and David Stremme as well. He won the 200 lap feature on the 3/4 speedway with a huge margin of victory using smart pit strategy and a very fast race car to take back to back wins.
February in Florida fans saw some great individual achievements from both local Florida races and winternational racing also.
