Collins Sets the Pace At Charlotte County

Johnny Collins continued his dominance in the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series, extending it to the pavement by taking the $3000 first place prize in front a the largest audience CCMP has seen in years.
Mark Whitener started on the pole and outside pole Mike Bresnahan. Collins methodically picked off them both off and ran away with a comfortable lead throughout. Amazingly, the 17 cars in the race ran all 50 laps without a caution, though many tense moments as fans saw lots of side by side action.

Ziegler Racing Engines fast qualifier was Dusty Cone, who finished third but was dqed after the race. Mike Bresnahan picked up the Real Racin USA Runner-up Award.
Fans were amazed by the driving style of the dirt drivers on asphalt and the fact the series ran 50 laps green flag.
